HONOR 8C vs Redmi 7: A battle to the last mile

Guys, as you all might have seen, the Amazon Sale is on and almost every brand of smartphone have put on their products to it. Being a tech enthusiast, I checked the smartphone section and have seen an interesting side to the story. HONOR, the global smartphone brand has put HONOR 8C on Amazon Sale at just 9,999 INR. For a device originally priced at 12,999 INR, this is a good deal!

So HONOR 8C is now up for grabs for just under 10,000 INR. So what all other devices are out there at this same price point? Well, many. But one that I cannot ignore is the Redmi 7. It is a popular device which comes at 8,999 INR. On paper, it is just 1000 INR cheaper than HONOR 8C’s new price but what justifies the latter’s pricing?

I did some digging and realised that both the devices are almost at par on many parallels. But there are three important areas where HONOR 8C wins the battle.

First, there is considerable difference between the two devices’ thickness. HONOR 8C is just 7.9mm thick; whereas Redmi 7 is 8.4mm thick. For a smartphone, those missing millimetres are big deal!

Second comes the front camera. On front camera, both the devices are at par but with a 13+2MP shooter, HONOR 8C outscores Redmi 7’s 12+2MP camera.

Third is the battle of the RAM. These are times of heavy phone usage and better RAM helps smooth operation. HONOR 8C comes with 4GB of RAM in comparison to Redmi 7, which comes in 2/3GB RAM capacity.

So guys, it is clear that in the battle of HONOR 8C vs Redmi 7, HONOR 8C comes out victorious.
