Honor is eyeing big market in India; may come up with three budget devices

Honor is going bonkers with multiple launches in 2018. They usually do a China launch first followed by global launch. It is around the same time that we in India get our hands on the new devices. Their parent brand Huawei has already created ripples in India’s smartphone market with the launch of P20 Pro and P20 Lite. While the former is compared with the iPhone X, the latter has already sold out in India. A release from the company reveals this.

Huawei’s India journey and market capture story is an interesting case study. As you can see, P20 Pro is a high end device costing around 65,000 INR and P20 Lite is priced at around 20,000 INR. This is same with Honor. On one hand, they are bringing Honor 10 to India which is estimated to cost around 35,000 INR and then again, they are coming with two more phones – 7A and 7C – both costing less than 10,000! This is going to be an options galore for young Indians who are extremely tech savvy and are looking for innovations all the time.

Honor is about to script history in India with 7A and 7C, two budget devices that come with Artificial Intelligence (AI). I believe these two devices are the cheapest AI phones in the world! Honor 10, on the other hand, is an outstanding phone which is touted to be a straight competition to OnePlus 6. Industry experts also hold that Honor 10 may actually be better than iPhone’s same category devices. Bloggers and tech journalists who have experienced Honor 10 is swearing by its camera and UI.

Now, if you think the curious case is over for now, we suggest you sit back a while. A recent tech leak suggests that Honor may soon be announcing another budget device – Honor 7s. This new phone features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 295ppi. The smartphone will be powered by an entry-level MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor. We totally understand the 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage as for a device estimated to be just over 9,000 INR, this is the best one can provide to its users.

Xiaomi and other companies are also coming up with new devices but the fact that Honor emerged as the fastest growing smartphone brand in India reveals that India is opening up to Honor more than other brands.
